The DM Organizational Construct is informed by the DM Functional Construct and provides context for organizing the roles of data management program execution at the four levels of an organization:
- Region – if required, a partial replica of Enterprise based on geographic variation
The actual execution of functions in roles may be 1:1 or many to one. Some of the variables that would drive role structure are:
- Centralized vs. federated functions
- Organization, Group or Domain complexity
- Data volume and complexity
While the functions remain constant an organization must assess the variables and determine how best to execute the functions through a specific role structure.
